Dark Moon - Magical Box

Our Dark Moon Magical Box contains everything you need for working with Grandmother Moon whilst she is in her Dark Phase.

The moon speaks to our subconscious mind, to our depths. She reminds us that both light and dark play a part in the ever-evolving nature of our soul. If you’ve felt drawn to the moon and her qualities, and you’re yearning to work more closely with her, learning about moon magic and how to work with each moon phase may be the next step in your spiritual journey.

Each phase of the moon’s journey has its own specific form of medicine. When her light is growing, or waxing, from the time of the new moon to the full moon, we focus on what we want to grow and manifest. From the full moon to the new moon, as the moon’s light shrinks or wanes, we focus on what we want to let go of and banish. 

This is a practice known as sympathetic magic, which is form of magic that works by imitating a desired outcome. Sympathetic magic can be seen when people perform a rain dance to call on rain, or in the way ancient peoples would stage a fake hunt that imitated the way they hoped a real hunt would happen. When we follow each moon phase with our magic, we’re tapping into sympathetic magic.

The day before the New Moon is known as the dark of the moon. This is when you can’t see the moon at all in the night sky. It is a period to give yourself a break; a time of rest. Deep meditation and vision questing can be performed now. The Crone, or the Dark Mother, rules this time, and if her magic is needed, now is the time when you should use it. Magical workings that can be performed during this time include banishing, binding, clearing and shadow working.

In the Dark Moon Magic Box you will receive:

A 30ml bottle of our Dark Moon Magical Spray. A dark, sweet and mysterious blend of pure essential oils and absolutes, floral waters and crystal and flower essences. Each spray is blended in an apothecary style amber bottle.

A Hand Rolled Double Spiral Beeswax Candle crafted in Black to represent Grandmother Moon in her Dark Phase. Black is also the colour of protection, of ridding unwanted energies from your space or aura and the colour of the unknown - the hidden future.

Included are two Hand Rolled Beeswax Spell Candles which can be used for any spell work during the Dark Moon. Both are these candles have also been created in Black.

There is also a slightly larger Hand Rolled Beeswax Focus Candle included with the box. This candle, again created in Black, can be used for workings that need more energy from your focus and intentions. Although the same height as the spell candles, this thicker Focus Candle will burn for longer and extended any intention being directed.

The last candle included in the box is a Hand Rolled Beeswax Altar Candle - also created in Black. This candle can be temporarily used as your main Altar Candle from which all other candles are lit when working in your space. Used to honour and call upon Deities and Elemental energies connected with the Dark Moon it can be used over a period of workings or Dark Moon Phases. Don't forget to snuff out the candle and not to blow it out - blowing out the candle signifies the end of its use.

To help with creating the perfect atmosphere for working your Dark Moon Magic we have included a 60ml jar of our Dark Moon Loose Incense. Made specifically for use with a charcoal disc or one of our loose incense resin burners - this atmospheric blend of dried natural herbs, berries, barks, resins, roots and flowers will help you to create the perfect setting to work your magic.

To complete the Dark Moon Magical Box we are also including a Black Obsidian Crystal Chip Bracelet. Black Obsidian is regarded as a highly protective crystal as well as being known as the 'Stone of Secrets'. Within its depths lies the unknown - the future. Black Obsidian has traditionally been used as an aid to Scrying to divining for the future as well as being an excellent companion for Shadow Working. The bracelet can be worn to enhance any workings being made during the Dark Moon.
